Ace, Lexi, and Duck did so.

Ace thought. "Yeah, that should do it. We could take the dog to the pound too," he said.

Mindy woke up in a jail cell. "Ah.....ah!" she said, sitting straight up. "Well what do we got here......?" a man with tatoos asked, sitting across from her. Mindy looked at the man hatefully. "So what's under the bandages doll? A pretty face?" asked the man with a perverted look in his eye.

"....more like your worst nightmare," said Mindy. wrapping the bloodstained bandages around her face.

"Aw come on, just let me see....." said the man.

"I warn you, back off," said Mindy as the guy drew closer.

Meanwhile at the pound, Buttons barked loudly, howling. He wasnted desperately to get out so he could protect Mindy.

"I know...it's a big relief," said Ace.

Lexi nodded as Duck went to make a protein shake.

Ace turned to Rev. "How about you Rev?"

Meanwhile, when the guy got too close for comfort, she took out her knife and stabbed him in the arm.

"GAh-!" he said, stepping back and holdin his bleeding arm.

"You wanna see my face?! HERE! TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT IT! Take a look at this God forsaken face!" said Mindy as she removed her bandages, showing the man her veins, muscle, teeth, and no eyeball in the left socket. The man was practically whimpering.

"Hmph," said Mindy, putting her bandages back on as the man kept his distance from now on. Mindy looked out the window. She had to get out of here.

Buttons managed to break out of the pound, sniffing around to try and find Mindy.

Buttons barked lightly outside the window as the guy was taken to an infirmary to heal his arm. "Buttons?" asked Mindy, looking out the window.

"Ah- you told him!" said Lexi, glaring at Ace.

"Ah...well...ya see.....uh...." began Ace as Lexi grabbed a pillow and started hitting him with it. "Ow! Ow! Ow!"

"You told me it was safe with you! Why did you go and blab?!"

"Sorry-ow!- Lex! There was nothing- ow! - better to talk about!" said Ace.

"Guys! Ow! A little back up please!" said Ace as Lexi continued to hit him with a pillow.

"Yeah! Remember when Tech and Duck were being stalked by the Stomper? And they were so scared they moved out of HQ for a so called vacation?" asked Ace when Lexi stopped beating on him to listen to Tech.

"Oh yeah," siad Lexi, giggling a bit. "How could I forget......." She looked at Tech awkwardly. "That was also during the first time I've ever heard you howl..."

Ace chuckled a bit.

Lexi laughed a little.

"Well, now that the murderer's locked up, we can all sleep safely tonight," said Ace.

Meanwhile, Buttons got out his laser which was kept in his robotic tail and melted the edge of the wall, making it fall down. As it fell, no other alarm went off. AS soon as Mindy got out, Buttons used a different laser as he pushed it up with his robotic hind legs and melded the wall back in place. "Let's go, boy," said Mindy as the two made their escape.

"Goodnight Rev, Slam, Tech," said Lexi.

"See you in morning," said Duck as he quacked to his room.

Lexi headed for her room as well.

Ace was training. For some reason, he had a bad feeling to shake off.

Meanwhile, Mindy was on the rooftops again with Buttons, now nearing the HQ. She didn't know why but she felt drawn to it.

"I'm gonna train a bit more, so by the time I stop I'll be conked out when I reach my room," said Ace.

Mindy went onto a high rooftop, looking at a window. It happened to be Rev's window.

Mindy smirked a bit under her bandages, continuing to move away from the HQ.

After a while, Ace went to his room, conking out on his bed, just as he said.

Lexi was making toast. "Hey Tech," she said.

Lexi blinked, utterly confused. "Uh....Tech, you okay?" asked Lexi. "You sound like you're still asleep."

Meanwhile, Mindy and Buttons were hiding out underground. Buttons only had one more piece of bread, some water, and a little more dog food for him. Mindy only to a small piece of that bread and took a sip of water. That would be her breakfast.

Buttons only took a small bit out of the dogfood he had left. And that was his breakfast.

They both sighed. They didn't want to resort to stealing food. They were enough trouble already.

Lexi was sipping her carrot juice. "So, how come you're so groggy this morning?"

Ace came out of the training room. He was in normal clothes: a yellow tanktop and light blue shorts. He sat dow on the couch, sighing a bit.

Lexi blinked. "Say what?" asked Lexi, completely sure of what she heard. She had super hearing. Saying stuff at a low volume wasn't going to help.

"Hmm...." said Lexi as she went to eat her breakfast.

Meanwhile back underground-

"Oy......what are we going to do.....we still haven't found her yet......." said Mindy, laying down on her back.

Buttons barked.

She sighed, "I know....we gotta do something about our food problem....but what?"

Buttons barked again.

Mindy's eyes widened. "The Loonatics HQ?! You're crazy Buttons!"

Lexi sat next to Ace.

Meanwhile, Mindy sighed. "Alright, we could try, but let's wait til night time...."

Lexi blinked. "Uh....sure.....we could talk now, if you want," she said, wondering what it was Tech wanted to talk about. If it was in private, it must've been something big. But why tell her?

Lexi walked in after him.

Lexi waited patiently, wondering what he was going to say.

Lexi's eyes widened. She blushed a bit.

"Ah.....well....." She sighed a bit. "......sure....why not?" she asked, smiling a bit.

"Umm..sure...but....let's keep it on the down low for a while, okay?" said Lexi, smiling a bit.
