It was night time in the futuristic city. A dog with a robotic bottom half walked down an empty street nonchalantly.

"Buttons!" called a voice.

The dog's ears perked up as its bottom half turned into a jet, the god panting as he raced his way through the sky towards the voice.

"Oh Buttons!" called the voice again. A girl with bandages wrapped around her face, wearing overalls, a light blue open straight jacket, black and orange vertical striped stockings, and black boots stood atop a grassy hill with her arms open.

The dog named Buttons flew over the gorge and landed in the girl's arms. "Ah, look at that....you finally made it.....hm?"

The dog's left eye was a screen. As it turned on, the screen was static-y before it showed the program.

"Got something on TV I should see?" asked the girl.

Duck looked at the webcam. "Say, can't I chat? There's probably a gazillion fans waiting to talk to me..!"

"Relax Duck, you'll have your chance," said Ace, making a carrot smoothie.

Lexi was in her night clothes. "Well, I dunno about you, but I'm gonna go to bed. It's night time after all."

Meanwhile, the girl watched the mini-screen. It was a news broadcast.

".....and in other news......." A man appeared on the screen. "It's all the fuss. The serial killer of women is still on the loose. Patrol-bots have no evidence as to her whereabouts and-"

The girl, the serial killer of women, put two fingers in front of the screen as Buttons barked questioningly.

"Buttons.....you shouldn't worry......"

She sighed, kneeling down.

"Besides....they don't know me....." she said as she remembered her days as a little girl, and the day she almost died.

As Duck made himself known to the internet world, Lexi was fast asleep.

As Buttons sat next to her, the girl named Mindy said, "Oh Buttons.....I wish I could trust more people...."

Meanwhile, inside the Warner Tower, Wakko was eating a humunous cake.

"Hey, Wakko, you gotta lay of the sweets.....especially since that was Dot's birthday cake from THREE years ago," said Yakko as he opened the door to the tower to get in.

Wakko burped. "Besides....you know how Dot doesn't like poor manners...." said Yakko.

"Did somebody call my name?" asked a voice. It was Dot.

Yakko seemed slightly more happpy and less sadistic.

After Dot's little over dramatic entrance, everyone sat in front of the television, where they watched how Yakko, now President Warner, told everyone how they would step into the cases of the recent murders.

Meanwhile, in Acme Labs-

"Egad, Brain! Isn't that-"

"Quiet Pinky..."

Two mice were watching the television. "But Brain, isn't President Warner talking about-"

"I know!" said Brain, walking over to a stool, putting a hand on his giant head.

Ace finally sat down a bit, wiping his forehead with a washcloth. He looked back to see Tech watching. "Hey..."

"This is getting too risky....if things keep going as they are, Mindy will be caught....." That was when Brain got an idea.

"PINKY! Are you pondering what I'm pondering?!"

"Well, I think so Brain, but if weenies can tap dance, why don't they wear shoes?" asked PInky.

"Why do I even bother....?" muttered Brain as he smacked Pinky. "Come Pinky, to ensure that we keep money our pockets, we shall ensure Mindy NEVER GETS CAUGHT!"

"Brilliant! Ah- wait- no, no......won't that-" began Pinky.

"MAke us accomplices? Yes. But then again, I AM trying to take over the world...."

"Really? I never really pay much attention to that guy," said Ace, sitting on the couch next to Tech.

"Hmm...." said Mindy as she held up a Warner Weekly, with a title that said 'Celebrity Woman Plays 'Zorro' ' on the cover. She looked towards the building where she lived. "Let's go Buttons," she said as the two headed towards the building.

"Eh, hopefully. Lexi's been talking to me about it, saying how she's getting nightmares that she might be next," said Ace.

Meanwhile, in the celebrity woman's home, the woman was doing her make up when she heard a noise behind her. She saw a shadow.

"Hello lady, whatcha doin'?" asked Mindy.

"I-I'm calling the cops..."

"Why?"

"Because you're breaking and entering...."

"Why?"

"Cause you're breaking the law..."

"Hee hee...."

Mindy slowly walked out as the woman gasped.

"Ha ha ha ha........W~H~Y~?"

"Ah...ah....... HE-!" began the woman before a knife inserted itself into her back. The woman fell, tears in her wide eyes as blood continued to drip from her mouth.

"Ah, you're right....but I dunno....shouldn't celebrities be able to afford that can of security?" asked Ace.

As Mindy heard sirens, she looked out the window to see Pinky and the Brain riding Buttons.

"Come on Mindy! Ahahaha! Troz!" said Pinky.

Mindy smirked, walking up to the window. "So, what made you want to help out?" she asked Brain.

Brain sighed, "Just get on...."

Mindy nodded, getting on.

Ace laughed a bit. "Really? Didn't know that's what it meant to be famous," said Ace.

As they were making their getaway, Buttons' jet ran out of fuel.

"B-BUTTONS!!" cried Mindy, her bandages flying off.

"C-COPS!" said Brain, seeing an officer hover vehicle in front of them. As Buttons fell, a figure in a black leotard managed to grab Mindy and the mice.

By this time, Mindy had no bandages and she had fainted. "Stupid girl," thought the figure, " the way you're acting, it's as if you WANT to die...."

He put them on the floor of the room they landed in, watching over them as they fell asleep.

"Another one....woah....."

5 hours later, it was daytime-

"Wake up, your life depends on it," signed Mime.

"Huh..wha...?" asked Mindy.

"I'm MIME. Hurry, we must leave before-"

"Where's Buttons?!" she asked.

"Your dog is fine....he's just outside-!"

Mindy picked up Mime by the collar. "He's~NOT~just~a~dog....." She threw him down as she walked out. "....he's my best friend....."

"You think so, Tech?" asked Ace as Lexi and Duck started to wake up.

Button was crashed on the ground, whimpering. Mindy walked over to Buttons, holding his paw. "Oh, look at you...you're such a mess...."

"Hello! We're gonna fix Buttons!" said Pinky as Brain went with him.

"Alright I'll leave it to you....I've got an old friend to visit," said Mindy as she headed towards the Acme Asylum.

"Alright, Tech, move over. Time for some Weather Report," said Duck as he changed the channel.

Meanwhile, Mindy walked over to a familiar cell.

"Maxxy~!"

"Lay off!"

"...Elmyra," said Mindy as she approached the cell.

"M~I~N~D~Y~!" said Elmyra happily.

"Would you shut up, ya dumb girl?!" asked Max.

"So, what does my funny-wunny friend need?" asked Elmyra, winking.

".....how's Lady," asked Mindy.

Elmyra's eyes widened before looking down. "Well.....doctors say she's getting worse...Doctors say if her conditions stay as it is....she'll....."

"Die," said Max.

Elmyra gasped. "How could you say that?!"

"I was only telling the truth!" said Max.

"Warner Schmarner, that guy was boring me ever since he and his sadistic expression got elected...." said Duck.

"Actually, that guy wasn't elected. They're descendants of Anvilanian Royalty, so the oldest became president by default," said Lexi.

"Are you serious?!" asked Duck.

Mindy stepped out of the asylum, looking up to see Loonatics HQ.

"Oh...I almost forgot about THEM....." she said.

"UWAAH!" said Duck as the weather report went to commercial. He went up to the television.

"Grr....how come they had to go to commercial in the middle of Misty Breeze's Weather Report?!" asked Duck.

"Alright alright! Geez, if I wanted a definition, I'd grad a dictionary..." said Duck.

Zadavia appeared on the holocom. "Loonatics...."

"Eh, what's up Zadavia?" asked Ace as Lexi and Duck went to the round table.

"I prefer that I show you rather than tell you," she said as she played the murder scene that was on television last night.

"So we're really going after her? Huh...." thought Ace.

"Zadavia out," she said.

"Alright then....let's jet!" said Ace.

Ace, Lexi and Duck got on some hover bikes and went out to search for the murderer.

As Mindy raced and jumped on rooftops, Buttons barked.

"What?!" asked Mindy as she turned to see three of the Loonatics on hover bikes. "Wha....what are THEY doing here...?!"

"Alright team- let her have it!" said Ace as the team attacked with their super powers.

"UWAAH!!!" said Mindy as she and Buttons began to run faster.

Mindy thought, " They only handle SUPER villains.....why are they after....?"

Suddenly she stopped. "Gah-...."

"There she is! Let's-" began Duck.

"Wait Duck, Look!" said Lexi, pointing.

Mindy slumped onto her knees, her bandages unravelling as Buttons stayed in front of her.

Buttons got between Rev and Mindy, growling.

"Glah~!" came the upchuck noise coming from Mindy.

"Oh..oh man...." said Ace as he saw Mindy throw up her appendix.

Ace looked down at his communicator. "Tech, I need a pick up for the girl stat!"

"Alright, come on, Fido!" said Duck as Buttons went to attack him, but it seemed like Duck managed to get him.

"No.......Buttons....." Mindy thought before she conked out.
