Mindy stood on a rooftop. "Good...they didn't trace us," she said as she left the scene.

Ace was practicing in the training simulator.

Lexi was in her room listening to her Music Blaster 5000.

Duck was in the living room watching the weather.....or watching Misty Breeze to be more precise.

"So what? You saying they're all done by the same person?" asked Lexi who just walked in.

"Would you guys keep it down? Misty Breeze is talking...." said Duck as he swooned in front of the television.

Lexi sighed. "So anyways, why are you keeping track Tech? The normal police are going to take care of it, aren't they?"

"But the knife's never found is it?" asked Lexi.

Ace came out. "Eh, what's up guys?"

"Tech and Rev have been talking about the murders that have been happening recently," Lexi filled him in.

"Yeah..you'd think the police would've caught the killer already," said Ace.

"Precisely," came Zadavia's voice as she appeared on the holocom.

"So let me guess, Boss Lady," Duck interjected, standing up. "You want us- super heroes- to go after murderers that were meant for the NORMAL police to handle?"

"That is EXACTLY what I'm proposing," said Zadavia.

Lexi looked down, a bit uncomfortable with having to go after someone who could possibly kill her.

Ace put a hand on Lexi's shoulder, giving her a calm look. "Hey, it's okay, Lex. You cna stay back if it really bugs ya. You can guard the headquarters. And Duck can stay too-"

"Hold on a minute! Who decided that I would have to stay here with Lexi while you guys go out?" asked Duck.

"You did, when your knees started shaking," Ace said, smirking as he pointed at Duck's wobbling knees.

"Ah.........fine......." Duck said, submitting defeat.

"Ready and set! Let's jet!" he said confidently. He was scared as well, but he had to be a model for his teammates so they wouldn't be afraid.

"I'll leave it to you then. Zadavia out," she said as the holocom turned off.

"Don't worry about it, Tech. We'll take her down just like any other criminals. No worries," he said, giving them a thumbs up.

He looked towards Rev. "See anything Rev? Anyone who looks suspicious?"

Meanwhile, Mindy was running on the rooftops, her dog Buttons running behind her.

"Bark!" he said in a warning tone.

"What?" she asked, looking back. She spotted them far away. The Loonatics.

Her eyes widened. ".....w...w....What are THEY doing here....?!"

"Can you trace it?" asked Ace.

Mindy and Buttons continued running, jumping from rooftop to rooftop to try and get as far away from the the Loonatics as she could.

"Wait- Tech!" said Ace. He sighed looked towards Rev. "Could you go with him to make sure he doesn't get hurt too badly?"

Mindy saw the coyote coming. "Not today, you damn coyote," she murmured as she looked towards Buttons. His back half became a jet as she got on him and Buttons blasted off.

Mindy gasped as she saw Tech flying towards her, then towards Button's jet which was running out of fuel. Her eyes widened. "Oh no!" They started falling into an alley. Buttons landed on his metal hind legs, landing safely with Mindy. She sighed. "Alright, we gotta keep going," she said, running deeper into the alley with Buttons.

"Alright, let's go, Slam!" he said, heading towards the Alley.

When she reached the dead end, she banged her fists against the wall. "Grr......leave me alone!" She looked towards him, her eye filled with fear as she hoped for some way to escape.

"I gotta get away," she thought, "I gotta get out of here. I gotta-" Her train of thought stop when she heard some form of upchucking noise. It was coming from her own throat.

"Glah~! Leave me alo-guh!" Her bandages unravelled as red liquid--obviously blood-- poured from her mouth. But something else was happening. Something else was coming out of her mouth. It plopped onto the ground with a sickening sound. It was an appendix.

Buttons barked with worry.

Ace ran up to Tech. "Tech, what's wrong?! What's going on?!" he asked in an almost demanding voice. He hated to see his comerade in the state he was in.

Mindy tried to hold herself up, but the blood loss was too much. She was losing consciousness as her back slid against the wall. Buttons barked loudly.

Ace looked towards the alley to see an unconscious Mindy, blood pooled, and an appendix on the ground. His eyes widened. "What the-?!" He ran inside, looking at her. Buttons went into a position a guard dog would. "Hey, easy Fido! We just want to help her......"

Once he managed t0 calm Buttons down, he went over to Mindy and examined her a little. "Slam, carry this girl to the infirmary back at headquarters. Rev, help Tech NOT toss his cookies," he said.

Ace held the appendix, covering it with the bandage so Tech wouldn't toss his cookies when he saw it. "Yeah, I'm coming. Hey, uh, could you bring Fido along?" asked Ace, looking back towards Buttons who was whimpering.

Ace left with Slam and Rev.

Buttons hesitantly managed to go up to Tech.

Meanwhile, Lexi heard Slam coming. "Slam, you're back! What hap-" She stopped herself short when she saw the girl. She gasped.

Duck gasped as well. "IS that....the MURDERER?!" he asked.

"Go get some rest Tech. Duck, take the murderer to the infirmary and let her recover. And I don't get what kind of odd sickness she's got, but we've got to try and find a cure," said Ace as he walked to his room to think.

"Pft," said Duck as he quacked Mindy into the infirmary. He immediately quacked out. "I'm not going near that girl AGAIN."

"So what are we going to do?" asked Lexi.

"Let's try looking up what's making Miss Murderer chuck her own organs and see if we can cure it," said Ace.

"Alright," she said, going with Ace to try and look it up.


Meanwhile, Mindy slowly woke up. She looked to see Buttons, panting.

"Sshh," she said as she put new bagandages on her face. She coughed a bit.

"Bark?" asked Buttons, worried.

"Ssh!" she said as she found some fuel and put it in Buttons' jet.

As soon as Buttons had enough fuel, she got away as Buttons blasted off.

Ace turned around. "Yeah, Tech?" he asked.

"Did you hear something like an engine, too?" asked Lexi.

"Wha-?" asked Ace.

"She what!?" asked Ace.

"Oh man," said Lexi.

"What? What's going on?!" asked Duck.

"The girl escaped. Now we gotta track her down all over again," said Lexi.

"Aw, geez......" said Duck.

"No worries. Lexi, let's jet," he said as the two bunnies left.

Meanwhile, Mindy was gasping as she laid down on the floor of an abandoned building. "Oh God..........I think......I think I'm gonna pass out......."

Buttons opened a storage packet in his robotic side. It only had some water, a banana, and some dog food. Mindy took the water and banana as Buttons sumped out the dog food and started eating. "Thank you Buttons...." she said as she took off the bandages to eat.

"Well, it's obvious she thinks we're gonna send her to jail.....which will probably be the case," said Lexi.

"Let's just hope she doesn't give us trouble this time..." said Ace.

She heard breathing inside an abandoned mansion. "Let's try over there," she said as she went inside. And there they were. Noth of them were sleeping.

"Alright...let's try to quietly do thi-"

Suddenly, they heard a phone ring. It was coming from Buttons' side phone. Lexi picked it up. "....hello?"

"Mindy? Oh thank goodness, I finally got you!"

"Oh, no, this isn't Mindy, but um, I'll take a message," she said, looking towards the girl who was still sleeping.

"Tell her her mom's not doing so good....that she's only got a few more weeks."

"...her mom? What's wrong with her mom?" she asked, her eyes wide.

Ace kept an eye on the girl and the dog to make sure they weren't waking up.

"Her mom's got some kind of poison in her body. It's rotting her body and she's upchucking her organ all over the place. She's also throwing up blood. She's getting transplants and blood donations all the time."

"Oh....oh my goodness......." said Lexi.

"I know, isn't it awful? And Mindy hasn't found the one that did it to her yet, huh?" asked the girl voice.

"I guess not...but....wait! You mean to tell me someone diliberately poisoned her mom? And who's calling?" asked Lexi.

"I'm Elmyra, Mindy's friend. And yeah, that's what happened," said Elmyra, seemingly giggling a little over the phone.

"Oh....well..I'll give her your message then," said Lexi.

"Okay, thank you!" And the phone went dead.

Mindy started waking up. "Uggh....."

"Ah-" started Ace.

Mindy's eyes widened as she stood up, knife in hand. "YOU!"

"Look, Mindy, we just want to help-" began Lexi.

Mindy looked even more surprised. "How do you know my name?"

"Your friend Elmyra called. She said your mom's only got a few weeks left. We know, Mindy," said Lexi.

She stepped back. "No...no, no, no, I don't want your help!" she said as she began to run with Buttons behind her.

"Wait!" said Ace.

Her eyes widened with surprise and fear. She was backing up slowly. "No...no....you can't.....keep away from me!" she yelled at him. She yelped when she saw Ace, Lexi, and Slam behind her.

"No......." she barely mouthed. Buttons was looking at both sides, barking at both sides to try and keep Mindy safe.

"Why should you be any different you damn coyote. You're one of them! You're just another one of the goody- superheroes. You only listen to your head, which tells you to enforce the law. It shouldn't be any of your concern how I feel....."
